Fall Diva

Spring is a shy Southern Belle
She sneaks up
Like a slow simmer
A spot of color catches the eye and behold
She's been in the room all along
No warning
No loud announcement
She tiptoes in with her vibrant agenda
Twisting the kaleidoscope
Shifting shades
From pale winter to warm blush
Upon lush cheeks.

But Fall,
Fall is my season
When mother-nature rolls down the window
Letting the wind whip up my hair
Raining down leaves to knock about my head
Whistling through my bones
for attention
When the moment comes
for her spell to cast
Trees bow at her entrance
Leaves drop in open admiration
Winds blow untamed kisses
She is
the DIVA of seasons.
